In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps of setting up a group chat and configuring it in the Snapture application in order to poll messages.
Currently our application only supports Telegram group chat.

Add the Bot into Group Chat
Add the bot (@) to the group chat.
Assign the bot as an admin within the group chat, with default permissions.
Once the bot has been assigned as an admin, the chat id will be sent in the group chat.

Set the chat id in the Application
Create a new project with the copied chat id/ Add the chat id to the Project Setting.
The chat id format is similar to -1234567890

Frequently Asked Questions
How our application use the bot?
Once you configure the bot and set the chat id in our application, you are granting us permission to interact with the group chat.
This enables us to poll messages from the group chat where the bot is the admin.
Please ensure that you only assigned the bot to the desired group chat such that our application has access only to that particular chat.
What is the official bot name?
The official bot name for Snapture is @.
Troubleshooting
Cannot poll messages after the setup?
If you've followed the steps above but still isn't working, re-add the bot into group chat and re-assign the bot as admin. Then, update the chat id in the Project Settings page/ create a new project with the new one.
Can i use the same chat for multiple projects?
No, currently, we only support one group chat per project. If you add the same chat ID to more than one project, you will only be able to poll messages from the most recent project associated with that chat ID.
